Youth Power Europe (YPE) is a network created by the Swedish painting association ”Måleriföretagen i Väst” and aims to create job opportunities for less fortuned youths in the cities of Europe. The network is a result of the ongoing project Let´s colour Gothenburg (länk) In December 2017 the Erasmus+ Programme approved a co-funding of a project called “Colour made inclusive” (who is a part of the YPE network ) which means we will start to colour Europe.

Several participating cities
Måleriföretagen i Väst is operating in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden but the project also includes other European cities; Helsingborg and Malmö in Sweden, Riga in Latvia, Gdansk in Poland, Barcelona in Spain and the European Painting branch of the Constructions sector (UNIEP). All together, we will at the end of the project have put several youths into work and also made the cities more colourful.

Start-up Conference in Barcelona
As a first mission, the representatives from each city will visit Barcelona for a first get together session and conference. The conference will be held in the middle of March and aims to inspire and encourage the cities to cooperate and learn from each other.
